Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called „session cookies.“ They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies that are required for the execution of the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions desired by you (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of his services. If other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
•Browser type and browser version
•Operating system used
•Referrer URL
•Hostname of the accessing computer

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out before the revocation remains unaffected.
The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Registration on this Website
You can register on our website to use additional features on the site. We will only use the data entered for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The processing of the data entered during registration is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke any consent you have given us at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on our website and will then be deleted. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.
Data Transfer in the Case of Contractual Relationships for Online Shops, Traders, and Shipping of Goods
We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary within the framework of the contract processing, for example, to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or the financial institution entrusted with the payment processing. Further transmission of the data does not take place or only if you have expressly consented to the transmission. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, for example for advertising purposes.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
4. Newsletter
Newsletter Data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, email address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example, via the „unsubscribe“ link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the member area) remains unaffected.
5. Plugins and Tools
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google’s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font will be used by your computer.
You can find more information about Google Web Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
6. Embedded Social Media Elements
Privacy Policy
We integrate elements of social media services on our website to display images, videos, and texts.
By visiting pages that display these elements, data is transferred from your browser to the respective social media service and stored there. We do not have access to this data.
The following links will take you to the pages of the respective social media services where you can find out how they handle your data:
• Instagram Privacy Policy: https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875

7. Facebook Privacy Policy
We use selected Facebook tools from Facebook on our website. Facebook is a social media network operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. With the help of these tools, we can offer you and people interested in our products and services the best possible offer. Below we provide an overview of the various Facebook tools, what data is sent to Facebook, and how you can delete this data.
What are Facebook Tools?
In addition to many other products, Facebook also offers the so-called „Facebook Business Tools“. That is the official designation by Facebook. However, since the term is hardly known, we have decided to simply call them Facebook Tools. Among them are:
• Facebook Pixel
• Social plugins (such as the „Like“ or „Share“ button)
• Facebook Login
• Account Kit
• APIs (Application Programming Interfaces)
• SDKs (Software Development Kits)
• Platform integrations
• Plugins
• Codes
• Specifications
• Documentations
• Technologies and services
Through these tools, Facebook expands its services and has the ability to receive information about user activities outside of Facebook.
Why do we use Facebook Tools on our website?
We want to show our services and products only to people who are genuinely interested in them. With the help of advertisements (Facebook Ads), we can reach exactly these people. However, for suitable ads to be shown to users, Facebook needs information about the wishes and needs of the people. Thus, information about user behavior (and contact details) on our website is provided to the company. This allows Facebook to collect better user data and display suitable ads to interested people about our products or services. The tools thus enable customized advertising campaigns on Facebook.
Facebook refers to data about your behavior on our website as „event data“. These are also used for measurement and analysis services. Facebook can thus create „campaign reports“ about the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on our behalf. Furthermore, through analyses, we gain a better understanding of how you use our services, website, or products. This allows us to optimize your user experience on our website with some of these tools. For example, you can share content on our site directly on Facebook with social plugins.
What data is stored by Facebook Tools?
By using individual Facebook Tools, personal data (customer data) can be sent to Facebook. Depending on the tools used, customer data such as name, address, telephone number, and IP address may be transmitted.
Facebook uses this information to match the data with their own data that they have from you (if you are a Facebook member). Before customer data is transmitted to Facebook, a process called „hashing“ takes place. This means that a dataset of any size is transformed into a string of characters. This also serves to encrypt data.
In addition to contact details, „event data“ is also transmitted. „Event data“ refers to information we receive about you on our website. For example, which subpages you visit or which products you purchase from us. Facebook does not share the received information with third parties (such as advertisers) unless the company has explicit permission or is legally obligated to do so. „Event data“ can also be linked to contact details. This allows Facebook to offer better personalized advertising. After the aforementioned matching process, Facebook deletes the contact details again.
To deliver optimized ads, Facebook uses event data only when it has been combined with other data (captured in other ways by Facebook). Facebook also uses this event data for security, protection, development, and research purposes. Many of these data are transferred to Facebook via cookies. Cookies are small text files used to store data or information in browsers. Depending on the tools used and whether you are a Facebook member, different numbers of cookies are created in your browser. In the descriptions of the individual Facebook tools, we provide more information about specific Facebook cookies. General information about the use of Facebook cookies is also available at https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies.
Where and for how long are the data stored?
In principle, Facebook stores data until it is no longer needed for its own services and Facebook products. Facebook has servers distributed all over the world where your data is stored. However, customer data is deleted within 48 hours after being matched with the company’s own user data.
How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to information, correction, portability, and deletion of your data.
Complete deletion of data only occurs when you completely delete your Facebook account. Here’s how to delete your Facebook account:
- Click on Settings on the right side of Facebook.
- Then click on „Your Facebook Information“ in the left column.
- Now click „Deactivation and Deletion“.
- Now select „Delete Account“ and then click on „Continue and Delete Account“.
- Now enter your password, click „Continue“ and then „Delete Account“.
The storage of data that Facebook receives from our site is done, among other things, via cookies (e.g. with social plugins). In your browser, you can disable, delete, or manage individual or all cookies. Depending on the browser you use, this works in different ways. The following instructions show you how to manage cookies in your browser:
Chrome: Delete, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data stored by websites on your computer Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies If you generally do not want cookies, you can set up your browser to always inform you when a cookie is to be set. This way, you can decide for each individual cookie whether to allow it or not.
Facebook is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. More information can be found at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC. We hope we have provided you with the most important information about the use and processing of data by Facebook Tools. If you want to learn more about how Facebook uses your data, we recommend the data policies at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/update.
Facebook Social Plugins Privacy Policy
Our website contains so-called social plugins from the company Facebook Inc. You can recognize these buttons by the classic Facebook logo, such as the „Like“ button (the hand with the raised thumb) or by a distinct „Facebook Plugin“ label. A social plugin is a small part of Facebook that is integrated into our site. Each plugin has its own function. The most commonly used functions are the well-known „Like“ and „Share“ buttons.
The following social plugins are offered by Facebook:
• „Save“ button
• „Like“ button, Share, Send, and Quote
• Page plugin
• Comments
• Messenger plugin
• Embedded posts and video player
• Group plugin
You can find more information about how the individual plugins are used at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins. We use the social plugins on the one hand to offer you a better user experience on our site, and on the other hand because Facebook can thus optimize our ads.
If you have a Facebook account or have ever visited facebook.com, Facebook has already set at least one cookie in your browser. In this case, your browser sends information to Facebook via this cookie as soon as you visit our site or interact with social plugins (e.g., the „Like“ button).
The information received is deleted or anonymized within 90 days. According to Facebook, this data includes your IP address, which website you visited, the date, time, and other information related to your browser.
To prevent Facebook from collecting a lot of data during your visit to our website and associating it with Facebook data, you must log out of Facebook during your website visit.
If you are not logged in to Facebook or do not have a Facebook account, your browser sends less information to Facebook because you have fewer Facebook cookies. However, data such as your IP address or which website you visit can still be transferred to Facebook. We would like to expressly point out that we do not have precise knowledge of the exact contents of the data. However, we try to inform you to the best of our knowledge about data processing according to our current state of knowledge. You can also read about how Facebook uses the data in the company’s data policies at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/update.

If you choose to register via Facebook Login, you will be redirected to the Facebook social media network. There, you will log in using your Facebook user data. This allows us to better tailor our offerings and promotions to your interests and needs. Data we receive from Facebook in this way includes public data such as
• Your Facebook name

8. Instagram Privacy Policy
We have integrated features from Instagram on our website. Instagram is a social media platform operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park CA 94025, USA. Since 2012, Instagram has been a subsidiary of Facebook Inc. and is part of the Facebook products. Embedding Instagram content on our website is called Embedding. This allows us to display content such as buttons, photos, or videos from Instagram directly on our website. When you visit pages of our web presence that have an integrated Instagram feature, data is transmitted to Instagram, stored, and processed. Instagram uses the same systems and technologies as Facebook. Your data is thus processed across all Facebook companies.
Below, we want to give you a more detailed insight into why Instagram collects data, what data is involved, and how you can largely control data processing. Since Instagram is part of Facebook Inc., we obtain our information from both Instagram policies and the Facebook data policies themselves.
What is Instagram?
Instagram is one of the most well-known social media networks worldwide. Instagram combines the advantages of a blog with the benefits of audiovisual platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. You can upload photos and short videos to „Insta“ (as many users colloquially call the platform), edit them with various filters, and also share them on other social networks. And if you don’t want to be active yourself, you can also just follow interesting users.
Why do we use Instagram on our website?
Instagram is the social media platform that has really taken off in recent years. And of course, we have also reacted to this boom. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible on our website. Therefore, a varied presentation of our content is a matter of course for us. Through the embedded Instagram features, we can enrich our content with helpful, funny, or exciting content from the Instagram world. Since Instagram is a subsidiary of Facebook, the data collected can also be useful for personalized advertising on Facebook. This way, our ads only reach people who are really interested in our products or services.
Instagram also uses the collected data for measurement and analysis purposes. We receive summarized statistics and thus gain more insight into your wishes and interests. It is important to mention that these reports do not personally identify you.
What data is stored by Instagram?
When you encounter one of our pages that have Instagram features (such as Instagram images or plugins) embedded, your browser automatically connects to Instagram’s servers. Data is then sent to Instagram, stored, and processed. This applies regardless of whether you have an Instagram account or not. This includes information about our website, your computer, purchases made, ads you see, and how you use our offer. Furthermore, the date and time of your interaction with Instagram are also stored. If you have an Instagram account or are logged in, Instagram stores significantly more data about you.
Facebook distinguishes between customer data and event data. We assume that this is also the case with Instagram. Customer data includes, for example, name, address, phone number, and IP address. It is important to mention that this customer data is only transmitted to Instagram after being „hashed“. Hashing means that a data set is transformed into a character string. This allows you to encrypt the contact details. Furthermore, the aforementioned „event data“ is also transmitted. Facebook – and consequently also Instagram – understands event data to be data about your user behavior. It may also happen that contact data is combined with event data. The collected contact data is compared with the data that Instagram already has from you.
The collected data is transmitted to Facebook via small text files (cookies) that are usually set in your browser. Depending on the Instagram features used and whether you have an Instagram account yourself, different amounts of data are stored.
We assume that data processing works the same way at Instagram as it does at Facebook. This means: if you have an Instagram account or have visited www.instagram.com, Instagram has set at least one cookie. If that’s the case, your browser sends information to Instagram via the cookie as soon as you come into contact with an Instagram feature. These data are deleted or anonymized no later than 90 days (after comparison). Although we have intensively studied the data processing of Instagram, we cannot say exactly which data Instagram collects and stores.
Below, we show you cookies that are set in your browser at least when you click on an Instagram feature (such as a button or an Insta image). In our test, we assume that you do not have an Instagram account. If you are logged in to Instagram, of course, significantly more cookies will be set in your browser.
These cookies were used in our test:
Name: csrftoken
Value: „“
Purpose: This cookie is likely set for security reasons to prevent request forgery. However, we could not find more precise information on this.
Expiration Date: after one year
Name: mid
Value: „“
Purpose: Instagram sets this cookie to optimize its own services and offerings both within and outside of Instagram. The cookie assigns a unique user ID.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Name: fbsr_311147249124024
Value: no information
Purpose: This cookie stores the login request for users of the Instagram app.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Name: rur
Value: ATN
Purpose: This is an Instagram cookie that ensures functionality on Instagram.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Name: urlgen
Value: „{„194.96.75.33″: 1901}:1iEtYv:Y833k2_UjKvXgYe311147249“
Purpose: This cookie serves Instagram’s marketing purposes.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Note: We cannot claim completeness here. Which cookies are set in individual cases depends on the embedded functions and your use of Instagram.
How long and where are the data stored?
Instagram shares the information received between Facebook companies, external partners, and individuals with whom you connect worldwide. Data processing takes place in compliance with its own data policy. Your data, among other things for security reasons, is distributed across Facebook’s servers worldwide. Most of these servers are located in the USA.
How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?
Thanks to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to information, portability, correction, and deletion of your data. You can manage your data in the Instagram settings. If you want to completely delete your data on Instagram, you must permanently delete your Instagram account.
And this is how you delete your Instagram account:
First, open the Instagram app. On your profile page, scroll down and click on „Help Center.“ Now you will be directed to the company’s website. On the website, click on „Manage Account“ and then on „Delete Your Account.“
When you completely delete your account, Instagram will delete posts such as your photos and status updates. Information shared about you by other people does not belong to your account and therefore will not be deleted.
As mentioned above, Instagram primarily stores your data through cookies. You can manage, deactivate, or delete these cookies in your browser. Depending on your browser, managing cookies works slightly differently. Here we show you the instructions for the most important browsers.
Chrome: Delete, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome
Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari
Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data that websites have placed on your computer
Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies
Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies
You can also generally configure your browser to always inform you when a cookie is to be set. Then you can always decide individually whether to allow the cookie or not.
Instagram is a subsidiary of Facebook Inc. and Facebook is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. This framework ensures correct data transfer between the USA and the European Union. You can learn more about it at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC. We have tried to provide you with the most important information about data processing by Instagram. You can delve further into Instagram’s data policies at https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875.
9. YouTube Privacy Policy
We have embedded YouTube videos on our website to present interesting videos directly on our site. YouTube is a video-sharing platform that has been a subsidiary of Google LLC since 2006. The video-sharing platform is operated by YouTube, LLC, located at 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page on our website that has an embedded YouTube video, your browser automatically connects to the servers of YouTube or Google. Depending on the settings, various data is transferred. Google is responsible for the entire data processing, and therefore, Google’s privacy policy applies.
Below, we will explain in more detail which data is processed, why we have embedded YouTube videos, and how you can manage or delete your data.
What is YouTube?
YouTube allows users to watch, rate, comment on, and upload videos for free. Over the years, YouTube has become one of the most important social media channels worldwide. In order to display videos on our website, YouTube provides a code snippet that we have integrated into our site.
Why do we use YouTube videos on our website?
YouTube is the video platform with the most visitors and the best content. We strive to provide you with the best possible user experience on our website. And of course, interesting videos should not be missing. With the help of our embedded videos, we provide you with additional helpful content alongside our texts and images. In addition, our website is easier to find on the Google search engine due to the embedded videos. Also, when we advertise through Google Ads, Google can show these ads only to people who are interested in our offerings, thanks to the collected data.
What data is stored by YouTube?
When you visit one of our pages that has an embedded YouTube video, YouTube sets at least one cookie that stores your IP address and our URL. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can usually assign your interactions on our website to your profile using cookies. This includes data such as session duration, bounce rate, approximate location, technical information such as browser type, screen resolution, or your internet service provider. Other data may include contact information, any ratings, sharing of content via social media, or adding to your favorites on YouTube.
If you are not logged into a Google account or a YouTube account, Google stores data with a unique identifier associated with your device, browser, or app. For example, your preferred language setting is retained. However, many interaction data cannot be stored because fewer cookies are set.
The following list shows cookies that were set in a browser test. We show cookies that are set without a logged-in YouTube account on one hand, and cookies that are set with a logged-in account on the other hand. How long and where are the data stored?
The data that YouTube receives and processes is stored on Google’s servers. Most of these servers are located in America. You can see exactly where Google’s data centers are located at https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/inside/locations/?hl=de. Your data is distributed across the servers. This makes the data faster to access and better protected against manipulation.
Google stores the collected data for different lengths of time. Some data can be deleted at any time, while others are automatically deleted after a limited time, and still others are stored by Google for a longer period. Some data (such as items from „My Activity“, photos, or documents, products) stored in your Google Account remains stored until you delete it. Even if you are not logged into a Google Account, you can delete some data associated with your device, browser, or app.
How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?
In general, you can manually delete data in your Google Account. With the automatic deletion function of location and activity data introduced in 2019, information is stored for either 3 or 18 months depending on your choice, and then deleted.
Regardless of whether you have a Google Account or not, you can configure your browser to delete or disable cookies from Google. Depending on the browser you use, this works in different ways. The following instructions show how to manage cookies in your browser:
- Chrome: Delete, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome
- Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari
- Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data that websites have placed on your computer
- Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies
- Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies
If you do not want cookies at all, you can configure your browser to always notify you when a cookie is to be set. This way, you can decide whether to allow each cookie individually. Since YouTube is a subsidiary of Google, there is a joint privacy policy. If you want to learn more about how your data is handled, we recommend reviewing the privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
YouTube Subscribe Button Privacy Policy
We have embedded the YouTube Subscribe Button on our website. You can usually recognize the button by the classic YouTube logo. The logo displays the words „Subscribe“ or „YouTube“ in white font on a red background, along with the white „Play“ symbol to the left. However, the button may also be displayed in a different design.
Our YouTube channel offers you funny, interesting, or exciting videos from time to time. With the embedded „Subscribe Button,“ you can subscribe to our channel directly from our website without having to visit the YouTube website separately. This way, we aim to make access to our comprehensive content as easy as possible for you. Please note that YouTube may store and process data as a result.
When you see a built-in subscription button on our site, YouTube – according to Google – sets at least one cookie. This cookie stores your IP address and our URL. YouTube can also obtain information about your browser, your approximate location, and your preset language in this way. In our test, the following four cookies were set without being logged into YouTube:
Name: YSC
Value: b9-CV6ojI5311147249Y
Purpose: This cookie registers a unique ID to store statistics of the viewed video.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Name: PREF
Value: f1=50000000
Purpose: This cookie also registers your unique ID. Google receives statistics about how you use YouTube videos on our website via PREF.
Expiration Date: after 8 months
Name: GPS
Value: 1
Purpose: This cookie registers your unique ID on mobile devices to track the GPS location.
Expiration Date: after 30 minutes
Name: VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE
Value: 31114724995Chz8bagyU
Purpose: This cookie attempts to estimate the bandwidth of the user on our websites (with embedded YouTube videos).
Expiration Date: after 8 months
Note: These cookies were set after a test and cannot claim completeness.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can store many of your actions/interactions on our website using cookies and associate them with your YouTube account. For example, YouTube receives information about how long you surf on our site, what browser type you use, what screen resolution you prefer, or what actions you perform.
YouTube uses this data to improve its own services and offerings, as well as to provide analyses and statistics for advertisers (using Google Ads).
10. Twitter Privacy Policy
On our website, we have integrated features from Twitter. These include embedded tweets, timelines, buttons, or hashtags. Twitter is a microblogging service and social media platform operated by Twitter Inc., One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2 D02 AX07, Ireland.
To our knowledge, in the European Economic Area and in Switzerland, simply embedding Twitter functionality does not transfer any personal data or data about your web activities to Twitter. Only when you interact with Twitter features, such as clicking on a button, can data be sent to Twitter, stored, and processed there. We have no control over this data processing and do not assume any responsibility. In this privacy policy, we want to give you an overview of what data Twitter stores, what Twitter does with this data, and how you can largely protect yourself from data transmission.
What is Twitter?
For some, Twitter is a messaging service, for others, a social media platform, and still, others refer to it as a microblogging service. All these designations have their justification and mean more or less the same thing.
Both individuals and companies use Twitter to communicate with interested parties via short messages. Twitter allows only 280 characters per message, known as „tweets.“ Unlike platforms like Facebook, the service does not focus on expanding a network of „friends“ but aims to be understood as a global and open news platform. On Twitter, you can also have an anonymous account, and tweets can be deleted by both the company and users themselves.
Why do we use Twitter on our website?
Like many other websites and businesses, we try to offer our services and communicate with our customers through various channels. Specifically, Twitter has become a useful „little“ messaging service for us. We often tweet or retweet exciting, funny, or interesting content. We understand that you cannot follow every channel separately. After all, you have other things to do. That’s why we have integrated Twitter features on our website. You can experience our Twitter activity „on-site“ or come directly to our Twitter page via a direct link. Through integration, we aim to strengthen our service and user-friendliness on our website.
What data does Twitter store?
On some of our subpages, you will find the integrated Twitter features. When you interact with Twitter content, such as clicking on a button, Twitter may collect and store data, even if you do not have a Twitter account yourself. Twitter calls this data „log data.“ This includes demographic data, browser cookie IDs, your smartphone’s ID, hashed email addresses, and information about which pages you visited on Twitter and what actions you took. Twitter naturally stores more data if you have a Twitter account and are logged in. This storage usually occurs via cookies. Cookies are small text files that are usually set in your browser and transmit various information to Twitter.
We will now show you which cookies are set when you visit a website with integrated Twitter features but are not logged into Twitter. Please note that this list is provided as an example. We cannot guarantee completeness, as the choice of cookies is always changing and depends on your individual interactions with Twitter content.

Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Note: Twitter also collaborates with third parties. Therefore, during our test, we also identified the three Google Analytics cookies _ga, _gat, _gid.
Twitter uses the data collected to better understand user behavior and improve their own services and advertising offerings, as well as for internal security measures.
How long and where are the data stored?
When Twitter collects data from other websites, it is deleted, aggregated, or otherwise obscured after a maximum of 30 days. Twitter’s servers are located in various data centers in the United States. Therefore, it can be assumed that the data collected is collected and stored in America. Based on our research, we could not definitively determine whether Twitter also has its own servers in Europe. In general, Twitter can store the data collected until it is no longer useful to the company, until you delete the data, or until a legal retention period expires.
How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?
Twitter emphasizes in its privacy policies that it does not store data from external website visits when you or your browser are located in the European Economic Area or Switzerland. However, if you interact directly with Twitter, Twitter naturally also stores data about you.
If you have a Twitter account, you can manage your data by clicking on the „More“ button under the „Profile“ button. Then click on „Settings and Privacy.“ Here you can manage data processing individually.
If you do not have a Twitter account, you can go to twitter.com and then click on „Personalization.“ Under „Personalization and Data,“ you can manage your collected data.
Most data is stored via cookies, as mentioned above, and you can manage, disable, or delete them in your browser. Please note that you can only „edit“ cookies in the browser you have chosen. This means that if you use a different browser in the future, you will need to manage your cookies there again according to your preferences. Here are instructions for managing cookies in the most popular browsers.
[Provide browser-specific instructions for managing cookies.]
Twitter also uses the data for personalized advertising within and outside of Twitter. In the settings, you can disable personalized advertising under „Personalization and Data.“ If you use Twitter on a browser, you can disable personalized advertising at http://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN.
Twitter is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. This framework ensures correct data transmission between the USA and the European Union. You can learn more about it at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO.
We hope we have provided you with a basic overview of data processing by Twitter. We do not receive any data from Twitter and also do not assume any responsibility for what Twitter does with your data. If you have any further questions on this topic, we recommend consulting the Twitter privacy policy at https://twitter.com/de/privacy.
11. SoundCloud Privacy Policy
On our website, we use features (widgets) from the social media network SoundCloud operated by SoundCloud Limited, Rheinsberger Str. 76/77, 10115 Berlin, Germany. You can recognize the widgets by the familiar orange logo. By using features such as playing music, data is transmitted to SoundCloud, stored, and analyzed. In this privacy policy, we show you what data is involved, why we use SoundCloud, and how you can manage or prevent your data or data transmission.
What is SoundCloud?
The SoundCloud social media network is an online music platform that serves the exchange and distribution of audio files. On SoundCloud, musicians or podcasters offer their audio files for download. In addition, SoundCloud allows audio files to be embedded in other websites. And that’s exactly what we’ve done too. Typical of SoundCloud are the graphical representations of audio files in waveform and the comment section. This allows registered users to listen to and comment on music tracks or podcasts at any time.
Why do we use SoundCloud on our website?
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible service on our website. By this, we don’t just mean our products or services. A holistic customer service also includes how comfortable you feel on our website and how helpful our website is for you. Through the embedded SoundCloud playback function, we can deliver audio content directly to you. You don’t have to first follow any link to listen to an audio file but can start right away via our website.
What data is stored on SoundCloud?
When you visit one of our websites that has a widget (like or share button or playback function) embedded, your browser connects to a SoundCloud server. Data from you can be transmitted to SoundCloud, managed, and stored there. For example, SoundCloud learns your IP address and which page (in this case ours) you visited and when. If you have a SoundCloud account and are logged in while browsing our website, the collected data is directly assigned to your account. You can only prevent this by logging out of SoundCloud while visiting our website. In addition to the above information, cookies also store data about your user behavior. Whenever you, for example, click a button, play or pause a music track, this information is stored in cookies. The widget or SoundCloud is thus able to recognize you, and sometimes the widget is also used to deliver personalized content to you. SoundCloud uses not only its own cookies but also third-party cookies such as Facebook or Google Analytics. These cookies help the company gather more information about your behavior on external websites and their own platform. As website operators, we do not receive any information about your user behavior from the cookies used by SoundCloud. Data transmission and therefore information about technical devices and your behavior on the website occur between you and SoundCloud.
Below, we show cookies that are set when you visit a website that has SoundCloud features integrated. This list is just an example of possible cookies and cannot claim to be complete. In this example, the user does not have a SoundCloud account:
Name: sc_anonymous_id
Value: 208165-986996-398971-423805311147249-0
Purpose: This cookie makes it possible to embed files or other content in websites and stores a user ID.
Expiration Date: after 10 years
(Note: The sc_anonymous_id cookie is immediately set when you are on one of our websites that has an embedded SoundCloud function. You do not need to interact with the function for this.)
Name: __qca
Value: P0-1223379886-1579605792812311147249-7
Purpose: This cookie is a third-party cookie from Quantcast and collects data such as how often you visit the site or how long you stay on the site. The collected information is then passed on to SoundCloud.
Expiration Date: after one year
Name: Sclocale
Value: de
Purpose: The cookie stores the language setting you have preset.
Expiration Date: after one year
Name: _soundcloud_session
Value: /
Purpose: We could not find specific information about this cookie.
Expiration Date: after the end of the session
Name: _session_auth_key
Value: /
Purpose: With the help of the cookie, session information (i.e., user behavior) can be stored, and a client request can be authenticated.
Expiration Date: after 10 years
SoundCloud also uses other third-party cookies such as _fbp, _ga, gid from Facebook and Google Analytics. SoundCloud uses all the information stored in cookies to improve its own services and deliver personalized advertising.
How long and where are the data stored?
In principle, the data collected is stored at SoundCloud for as long as a user account exists or as long as it is necessary for SoundCloud to achieve its business objectives. The exact duration of storage changes depending on the context and legal obligations. Even if you do not have an account and personal data has been stored, you have the right to request data deletion.
How can I delete my data or prevent data storage?
If you have a SoundCloud account, you can manage data processing via „Settings“ or delete your entire account. But you can also manage, delete, or disable cookies in your browser according to your preferences. The approach always depends on the browser you are using. If you decide to delete or disable cookies, please note that not all functions may be available. The following instructions explain how to manage, delete, or disable cookies in your browser.
[Provide browser-specific instructions for managing cookies.]
We hope we have provided you with a good overview of the data traffic through SoundCloud. If you want to learn more about the privacy policies and general handling of data by SoundCloud, we recommend reading the company’s privacy policy at https://soundcloud.com/pages/privacy.
